Stimulate Your Mind with Gratitude
Your daily obligations can be overwhelming. You have bills to pay, deal with tons of pressures, and relationship disputes happen. You also experience money problems, health issues, or sickness. With all of this going on, peace doesn’t come easy, even though it’s needed and necessary.
You can feel afraid, restless, and frustrated. You’re just yearning for some relief. Instead of asking or wondering what’s up, you can include God in your issues.
Instead of grasping for some peace on your own, do the uncommon thing and thank God for everything he’s given you. You can stimulate your mind and be thankful for friends and family, the place you live, and the food you have to eat.
Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God’s will in Christ Jesus that you do this.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Genuinely having appreciation can offset the mixed-up feelings you have. Gratification will move in, and contentment and peace will take over any fear that has grown from all the problems that have come up. And don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow isn’t here yet. Today’s issues are enough.
“So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34
You can simply pray and ask for mercy or strength. Sometimes the prayer will mutate into something more extensive, like a plea for guidance, stamina, help, or hope. Prayer helps us grow closer to God, and when that connection is given a chance to develop, it can bring us needed and necessary peace.
