Six Bible Passages About Parenting

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 GW

Is raising godly children one of the most difficult challenges you’ve ever faced? Love the Lord, live in his ways, know his truth, and talk about it with your children in every circumstance of life. Apply loving discipline and trust God to draw and keep them near his side.

Listen, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is the only God. Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7

He established written instructions for Jacob’s people.
He gave his teachings to Israel.
He commanded our ancestors to make them known to their children
so that the next generation would know them.
Children yet to be born would learn them.
They will grow up and tell their children
to trust God, to remember what he has done,
and to obey his commands.
Psalm 78:5-7
