Pray the Scriptures: Complete in Christ

I once was cut off from you, hostile in every action and attitude. But your death brought me back and welcomed me into your presence without fault. I have faith in this Good News.

Train me to be happy when I suffer. I want to tell the world your entire wise message. I long to help everyone mature. I work hard while your mighty power works in me.

I want to encourage others with all the riches that come from completely understanding you. I want to shield them from misleading arguments that only sound good on the surface.

I received you as Lord. All I want is to live as one of your people.

Guard me from shallow philosophies—mere human traditions. I’m complete in you, and you’re in charge of everything. In baptism you cut off my corrupt nature. You buried me and brought me back to life.

Once I was dead because of my failures. But you made me alive by nailing the charges against me to the cross.
