God’s Word for Today: October 26

Acts 21:15 to 28:30

Acts 21:15 to Acts 28:30

Because of his preaching, the apostle Paul was arrested, beaten, and jailed. Through these difficult times, God used Paul to spread the Good News. Note especially Paul’s summary of his life and how he spent his time while under arrest.

How did Paul describe his faith in Christ to the Roman governor? Paul admitted that he followed Christ. He said he worshiped the God of his ancestors, believe everything written in Moses’ teaching and the Prophets, and he trusted that people will come back to life. He said that as a result of this belief, he tried to live with a clear conscience before God and people.

Today, tell God your fears about telling others about Jesus. Ask God to help you overcome inhibitions and to speak boldly about him.
