God’s Word for Today: June 3
Psalms 130–134
The writer of Psalm 130 knew that God’s forgiveness of sins is complete. Once God has forgiven your sins, he never brings them up again.
Why does the statement “a song for going up to worship” appear at the start of these Psalms? Jewish pilgrims sang Psalms 120–134 as they climbed Mount Zion to celebrate Israel’s religious festivals in Jerusalem.
Today, talk to God about your sins. Ask him to help you put them behind you and overcome any guilt you may feel for sins he has already forgiven.
