Genesis 4:1 to Genesis 5:32

Today’s reading tells the story of the first human family. Some members of this family chose to follow God, while others chose to go their own way. God judged those who rejected him.

Today, ask God to help you take responsibility for your actions—even when you are not proud of them. Pray that you will not act as Cain, who denied that he had sinned and made excuses for his wrong behavior.
