God Is Mighty & Worthy of Praise
“Our Lord and God, you deserve to receive glory, honor, and power
because you created everything.
Everything came into existence and was created because of your will.”
Revelation 4:11
God is mighty and worthy of praise.
From the beginning, the Lord demanded adoration from his chosen people, Israel. In his first three commandments, he told them never to serve, make, or bow down to other gods but only to glorify him (Exodus 20:3-5). But honoring God is more than a duty; it’s a genuine reaction to encountering him.
The most passionate worship in the cosmos happens in heaven, where the Lord’s disciples finally see him face-to-face. Winged creatures encircle him and proclaim his righteousness day and night (Revelation 4:8). Managers of his kingdom place their crowns before his throne and celebrate his creative power (Revelation 4:11). A throng from every nation and language praises Christ the Lamb sacrificed to offer the gift of salvation to humanity (Revelation 5:9-10).
If worship doesn’t naturally flow from your heart, invite the Lord to unveil more of himself to you. Examine his mighty acts in the Bible. Watch for his overflowing kindness in everyday life. Consider his reliable nature. When you truly see God, your only response will be to glorify him.
