Experience God’s Gifts through His Promises

Romans 6:23 GW

God’s life-changing word overflows with his promises of real love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, hope, and joy for everyone who trusts in his Son, Jesus.

These seven passages tell of the strength, unity, and restoration Christians receive as new creations.

“He will give light to those who live in the dark
and in death’s shadow.
He will guide us into the way of peace.”
Luke 1:79

Each of us has received one gift after another because of all that the Word is. Laws were given through Moses, but kindness and truth came into existence through Jesus Christ.
John 1:16-17

Now you have been freed from sin and have become God’s slaves. This results in a holy life and, finally, in everlasting life. The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:22-23

He will continue to give you strength until the end so that no one can accuse you of anything on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God faithfully keeps his promises. He called you to be partners with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:8-9

Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18

He also gave apostles, prophets, missionaries, as well as pastors and teachers as gifts to his church. Their purpose is to prepare God’s people to serve and to build up the body of Christ. This is to continue until all of us are united in our faith and in our knowledge about God’s Son, until we become mature, until we measure up to Christ, who is the standard.
Ephesians 4:11-13

God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness. This power was given to us through knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and integrity. Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.
2 Peter 1:3-4
