The Unfolding by Mallory Phillips

My sweet friend,

One day our hearts will fill with song again and one day all of our souls will dance in the presence of our Creator. I wish this day was now and I am sure that you do, too. I wish that I could walk in the presence of my Jesus and lay my tired head on His beating chest. That I could ask Him all of my burning questions and finally be able to hear His every word. That even in His silence, I can be reassured that He never, ever left my side.

There is something beautiful about the unfolding of a greater purpose.

Even when we find ourselves on our knees in sorrow, we can have enough hope and trust in Jesus’ sovereignty to know that no matter what this stained life throws at us, His blood was painted all over it on the day of His last breath.

I pray that one day we can finally see the burning fire in Jesus’ eyes and all of the times where we felt a crushing weight will all come into focus in the exuberance of that moment. We find that when our eyes meet His, we can finally understand why all these years were full of steep mountains and low valleys. Because there is no need for a Savior when life is purely glassy waters. We give up our own desires at the foot of the cross and feel the excruciating pain of leaving them there. This life is about handing over this control and sin-stained heart of ours for a new name. A new life. A new heart. An unfolding of His purpose for you.

He is making all things new in you.

The one sitting on the throne said, “I am making everything new.” He said, “Write this: ‘These words are faithful and true.’ ” He said to me, “It has happened! I am the A and the Z, the beginning and the end. I will give a drink from the fountain filled with the water of life to anyone who is thirsty. It won’t cost anything. Everyone who wins the victory will inherit these things. I will be their God, and they will be my children.
Revelation 21:5-7 GW

Are you ready for the unfolding?
