God’s Promises Help When I Doubt His Goodness

Mark 11:23 GW

God’s life-changing word overflows with his promises of real love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, hope, and joy for everyone who trusts in his Son, Jesus.

These six passages assure Christians of God’s enduring faithfulness in times of uncertainty.

The LORD is good.
His mercy endures forever.
His faithfulness endures throughout every generation.
Psalm 100:5

“The mountains may move, and the hills may shake,
but my kindness will never depart from you.
My promise of peace will never change,”
says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10

Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God! I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn’t doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, ‘Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it will be done for him. That’s why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours.”

There isn’t any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps his promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. But when you are tempted, he will also give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape.
1 Corinthians 10:13

This is a statement that can be trusted:
If we have died with him, we will live with him.
If we endure, we will rule with him.
If we disown him, he will disown us.
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful
because he cannot be untrue to himself.
2 Timothy 2:11-13

We have been sprinkled with his blood to free us from a guilty conscience, and our bodies have been washed with clean water. So we must continue to come to him with a sincere heart and strong faith. We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful.
Hebrews 10:22-23
